How far in advance should I plan my trip?

If you plan to embark on a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday, we highly recommend booking as early as possible. Weekend charters are in high demand and tend to sell out quickly. To secure your preferred date and time, we suggest reserving well in advance—especially early in the season.

Can I have more than 12 guests in my group?

At The Yachting Experience, we know that some moments deserve to be celebrated in a big way. However, in accordance with U.S. Coast Guard regulations, private yacht charters are limited to a maximum of 12 guests on board — whether the vessel is cruising, anchored, or docked. This limit is strictly enforced and cannot be exceeded at any time.

Do you provide alcohol?

At The Yachting Experience, we do not hold a liquor license and therefore cannot serve alcohol on board. However, guests are welcome to bring their own beverages. All charters are strictly BYOB, allowing you to enjoy your favorite drinks during your time on the water.

Question 4

Should I bring my own food and beverages?

Accepted Answer

You're welcome to bring any food or beverages of your choice to enjoy during your charter. Additionally, there are a variety of excellent catering options available near our pickup locations.

Question 5

Are small children allowed on board?

At The Yachting Experience, we welcome families and take pride in creating memorable moments for all ages. For the safety of our youngest guests, children under the age of 10 must be supervised by an adult at all times and must wear a properly fitted life jacket upon boarding.

Question 6

What if I am late to my charter?

Please note that charters cannot be extended in the event of a late arrival. Our vessels operate on a strict schedule, and we must adhere to the reserved charter time to ensure a seamless experience for all guests.

Question 7

What are your weather and cancellation policies?

Accepted Answer

If the day and time of your charter is deemed to be unsafe due to weather conditions, the charter may be rescheduled to a different date, or you may request a full refund and cancel the trip. The captain of the vessel reserves the right to declare when a trip is not safe to sail.

Cancellations must be made one week prior to departure date. Any cancellations post the allotted week will forfeit the $500 security deposit.

Where are your pick-up and drop-off locations?

At The Yachting Experience, we are continually expanding our available pick-up and drop-off locations. If there is a suitable public or private dock that allows for safe yacht access — including the ability for the vessel to maneuver in and out — we will do our best to accommodate your preferred location. Please note that a time and fuel surcharge may apply, depending on the distance from our standard departure points.

Is there a minimum charter duration?

We highly recommend a minimum of 4 hours to truly appreciate the journey and all it has to offer. This provides ample time to fully enjoy the experience and explore the destination. While we do offer shorter charter durations, these are best suited for quick getaways or specific occasions. For a more immersive and memorable experience, a 4-hour charter remains our most popular and recommended option.
